What’s the difference between college and university sports?

Modified on Mon, 7 Aug, 2023 at 12:42 PM

University Sports clubs offer the chance to compete in BUCS (British University College Sport) and represent the University of York across the country, competing against other Universities.

The college sport system at York offers all students the opportunity to get involved in sports at university in a fun and sociable environment. Everyone is welcome to take part, regardless of ability or experience. College sport all takes place on campus with clubs normally having one training session and one match per week against another college.
