What is York SU?

Modified on Mon, 19 Aug at 9:24 AM

York SU is the University of York Students' Union.

The University of York Students' Union has gone through some big changes. 'YUSU' and the Graduate Students' Association (GSA) have merged in August 2024 to become one, single Students' Union that represents all students.

We represent all 20,000 of you during your time at York. We also look after over 200 student-led societies, sports clubs, media groups and volunteering projects. Whatever you’re interested in, we have something for everyone.

Every year, students are elected for roles within the Union to advocate on your behalf. They represent you to the University, the City, nationally, and in how we run. We have seven full-time Sabbatical Officers, an Academic Committee, an Equalities Committee, and over 300 Academic Representatives. They are all dedicated to representing your interests.
