What is a Sabb/what do they do?

Modified on Mon, 19 Aug at 11:07 AM

Sabb stands for Sabbatical Officer. They are paid employees that have either recently graduated or have taken a sabbatical year (a year out of their studies). These roles are elected positions.

York SU has a total of seven Sabbs - here are the sabbs and the positions that they hold.

Sabbs represent and support students at the University of York, to ensure that students have the best possible experience during University. They lead the Union and work with the university for a year, sitting on committees, organising campaigns while communicating with students about everything that is going on at York.

You can find out more about them here.
